Great festival films - In honour of the 56th BFI London Film Festival 2012
Adam (2009)
Rose Byrne has had a rise to fame, but she has definitely got a pedigree of work behind her with awards at Venice Film Festival and such and like. Similar to Hugh Dancy who was also in Confessions of a Shopaholic?! The film follows the relationship between a young man named Adam (Dancy) with Asperger syndrome and the woman of his dreams, Beth (Byrne). It sounds pretty tame, but the performances are fantastic.
This film premiered Sundance and won the Alfred P. Sloan Prize.
