the only way to hear new music was via pirate radio or the clubs. Armed with a C-90 this is where you would hear some serious classics. Hearing this track on a random show on pirate years back, this slow build up as it drops was an utter dream to hear. Particularly around the time when DJs were dropping quick cuts/fast drops and whatever else.
Classic.

Sometimes you just reminisce about music you listened to when you were growing up.
I grew up to a whole plethora of music. But being part of the UK House and Garage movement was something special. I was too young for the rave era and being part of jungle/drum and bass was amazing; but the UKG era was perfect. I was old enough to be a part of the whole scene and take advantage of it. It’s probably been 10-12 years since I’ve listened to these tracks… but thanks to a DJ Blakey mix on soundcloud, it all brings it back. (Link to come so hold tight).
